The
Land and Garden
The
land of 1.8 ha (18,000 sqm) contains a well planted and landscaped
garden as well as a separate plot of land that in the future could
become an olive grove or a vineyard currently down to timber. Below
this is a large and productive organic kitchen garden, the house
is currently self-sufficient. There is a south facing sun terrace
in front of the house and another two adjacent outhouses converted
to summer accommodation and playrooms for children. The wood behind
the house is a productive and lucrative area for truffle hunting,
the surrounding forest is full of wild flora especially in the spring
and an abundance of wild deer, boar, pheasant, rabbit and porcupine.
There is also an organic chicken run adjacent to the barn, keeping
the family in eggs throughout the year.
Within
the newly planted and landscaped gardens, are an English lawn and
a fully incorporated, above ground, 27 foot filtered swimming pool
and sitting area, adjacent to a fine lawn and attractive planted
areas.
